The care cot is standardly sized for a mattress of 200 cm long x 100 cm wide.

On the outside, the care cot measures 216 cm long and 116 cm wide.

We are also developing variants for a smaller mattress such as 200 cm by 90 cm. If you’re interested, please contact us for more information about the options and timelines.

The standard height, measured to the highest point of the roof, is 220 cm, without wheels.

Please note that if you opt for height-adjustable hidden swivel casters, the entire bed will be a few centimeters higher when the wheels are extended to move the bed.

If you opt for permanently visible swivel casters, the overall height is approximately 10 cm higher.

In addition to our unique transparent impact-resistant plastic bars, you can choose from painted or varnished wooden bars. You can also choose from a continuous transparent impact-resistant plastic sheet or a wooden panel. We can provide openings in the sheet material as desired, for example for ventilation.
You can also make a different choice for the front, back, and two sides. For example, you could choose panel material for the side against the wall and bars for the other sides.

The doors are currently available in 3 heights: 110 cm, 70 cm, and 45 cm. We are also working on even taller doors. You can contact us if you need this.

The doors are standard wings made from a single piece. The hinges are concealed.

Soon, foldable doors made of 2 segments and fold-down doors will also be standard options. At the moment, you can request these custom-made. Please contact us for this.

The care cot does not come with wheels as standard.

However, if you want to be able to move the bed, you can choose between two options:

Option 1: Hidden mobility: Height-adjustable swivel casters hidden inside the bed are installed. Note: these casters are not suitable for transporting a person with the bed! This option is ideal if you occasionally want to move the bed without having to dismantle it completely, for example, for a thorough cleaning or for redecorating the room. In the resting position, during normal use, the wheels are retracted and completely invisible. The care cot then stands with its wooden frame on the floor, maintaining its aesthetic appeal. To move the care cot, the wheels must be manually extended. You need access to the inside of the bed: if you choose a fixed bed base with a mattress, you must remove it to access the wheels; if you choose an electrically adjustable bed base, you must raise it to its highest position to access the adjustable casters.

Option 2: Visible swivel casters on the outside under the care cot frame: This option is intended for if you want to move the care cot regularly, with or without a person in it. Because the locked swivel casters are easily accessible, you can easily apply the brakes. We do recommend always engaging the brake on each of the 4 casters when stationary.

The bed base is the surface on which the mattress rests. Using a control panel, you can adjust the height of the bed base, from a comfortable entry height to an ergonomic nursing height.

We also provide a shielding element that prevents access to the mechanism of the electrically adjustable bed base in its raised positions.

With the same control panel, you can also electrically adjust both the angle of the back and the height of the legs separately.

We integrate a standard electrically adjustable bed base system from a specialized manufacturer. This system is fully CE certified.

We are happy to work with you to find the best and most beautiful way to attach an aid to the care cot. The roof element of the cot is ideal for attaching certain tools such as a surveillance camera. We are happy to provide a customized support, in a material and color compatible with the bed.

Yes, it can. Please note that the external dimensions of the care cot remain unchanged and the bed base inside will be slightly smaller. We can pad either just the frames around the bars or entire surfaces. You can choose from multiple materials and colors. The padding can also be made detachable with Velcro. So the padding is completely tailored to your wishes. It is best to contact us directly for detailed information, or for a quote. You can also configure your care cot via the configurator to request a basic quote; we will then put together the configuration and the quote in detail based on your exact padding wishes.

Absolutely, the care cot is definitely compatible with a patient lift.

At the bottom, instead of a closed baseboard, you can choose a partially open baseboard. The opening in the baseboard allows the movable patient lift to roll under the care cot. This opening for the patent lift is 12.5 cm high and 120 cm wide.

For the roof element, you also have a few options:

You can opt for an asymmetrical roof instead of a symmetrical one. In this case, the ridge beam is off-center, so it doesn’t obstruct, for example, a ceiling patient lift from maneuvering to the middle above the mattress.
You can also choose the symmetrical roof element but without the ridge beam.
Or you can even omit the entire roof element. This will naturally affect the appearance of the bed and makes it more difficult to use the matching mosquito net.

Safety is a top priority for us. For this reason, we only work with sturdy materials and components from reliable sources and adhere to general safety and performance requirements.

The sturdy frame of the care cot is made of durable solid bonded wood so it can take a (serious) beating.

We size and test the components for strength.

The electrically adjustable bed base is manufactured by a specialized company.

The wooden parts are painted or varnished with products that meet legal standards.

The price of the care cot depends on the chosen options. Due to the growing number of variants of the care cot (combinations of choice options, some of which are still in development), unfortunately, it is not possible to provide a universal price. For this reason, we ask you to either contact us directly for a quote or to put together a care cot via the configurator and, possibly supplemented with additional comments, to request a quote based on this.

As soon as you put together a care cot via the configurator (with any additional wishes you can formulate in the comments field) or as soon as you simply contact us via a channel of your preference found on this website, we will contact you and review with you all the specifications of the bedbox in function of the needs of your precious one. Based on this, we will create a customized quote. Once you approve the quote, we will start working on your order. We will then schedule an appointment to deliver and install the care cot at your location.

Currently, each care cot is custom-made, and we do not keep finished products in stock due to the immensely large number of possible variations. For this reason, you should expect a lead time of approximately 12 weeks.
